Intro to My Next Book, Part One (Work In Progress)

Let me catch you up on what has happened thus far.

This is my first post for subscribers here. Usually on my backstage feed it’s a mix of experiments and long term projects developing. Since… March or April I’ve been cooking the next book, and we’re presently going 600 mph on that (that’s the usual pace). Allow me to catch you up on what has happened so far:

0. The First Plan

Last year I released my first kid’s book, ‘Rover in Church’. Here are some images from it from just before completion (might be a few loose ends here but you’ll get the point):

This was definitely successful, in my opinion. It was printed as a long (rather than tall) paperback and the feedback, mostly from people saying how much their kids enjoyed it, was solid.

I thought this format (poetry, wide paperback, the general style and vibe) had a lot of untapped potential, so I figured this would be the jumping off point for the next book.
